The official residence of HM The Queen and one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today, Buckingham Palace welcomes visitors from across the globe to witness its great history and splendour.
From 22nd July - 1st October, visitors can purchase tickets to discover The State Rooms, Royal Mews, The Queens Gallery and Palace Gardens. The 19 State Rooms are a particular highlight and feature some of the Royal Collection's finest artworks by artists including Rembrandt, Rubens, Van Dyck and Canaletto. The rooms are used extensively by The Queen and Royal Family to receive and entertain guests on State, ceremonial and official occasions.
The famous Changing the Guard can also be observed, free of charge, from the palace gates. Weather permitting, the ceremony takes place from 11:00-11:45 on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun from January to March, then on Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, and Sun until 19th June and every day from then throughout the summer. (Some variations can occur).
