Museum London Transport Museum

Covent Garden Piazza, London WC2E 7BB

(Mon - Sun, 10:00 - 18:00)

Situated at the beating heart of Covent Garden Piazza, in front of the ever-bustling old market, the museum is a unique chance to experience a vast interactive collection of historic public transport vehicles and masterful designs, including iconic double-decker buses from past decades and the first ever Underground locomotive, dating back to 1866.

Particularly fascinating is the vast collection of London Underground posters, graphic design material and photos, which documents the cultural heritage of a city always at the forefront of technical and artistic innovation.

Since its opening in 1980 in a renovated Victorian style building once hosting a popular flower market, the London Transport Museum has sparked the curiosity of children and adults alike, managing to be both educational and hugely entertaining.

The family-friendly approach adopted by the museum also allows free entry for children.
Diving in this journey of colourful displays and playful simulations will give you a great insight of how the distinctive look of modern London was shaped throughout time.

The Museum also runs Friday Lates events (For 18+ only, 18:45 - 22:00) with music, bars, hot food, talks, quizzes, and craft activities.

Advance tickets can be purchased on their website.
