Kensington Palace has been influenced by generations of royal women and today presents fascinating exhibitions on this theme.
'Victoria Revealed' is set within the rooms in which Queen Victoria lived as a child and explores her life and reign as Queen, Empress, wife and mother. Meanwhile the 'Fashion Rules' exhibition explores the styles of HM The Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales, with a collection of exquisite dresses worn by each of them, and presents how they each navigated the fashion rules defined by their royal duties.
Special 2017 Exhibition
'Diana: Her Fashion Story' exhibition (on now at Kensington Palace until 28th Feb 2018), treats visitors to a unique insight into the Princess' iconic style.
Outfits on display include the ink blue velvet gown worn by the Princess at the White House when she danced with John Travolta in 1985, and the pale pink Emanuel blouse worn for her engagement portrait in 1981, amongst many others.
