Afternoon

Start your tour of Liverpool's incredible history with a visit to the Merseyside Maritime Museum, just a 12-minute (0.6 mile) walk from the hotel. In the mid to late 1800s Liverpool was Britain's gateway to the new world and evidence of this rich maritime history can be found throughout the city. The Maritime Museum gives a fascinating insight into this period and more, with a host of exhibits and displays of boats, models, paintings, uniforms and ship wrecked items.

Inside the Merseyside Maritime Museum is the International Slavery Museum, which is a one-of-its-kind museum, looking at the historical and contemporary aspects of slavery.

Afterwards, head to The Museum of Liverpool. Set in a striking, modern building on the Albert Dock, it presents a staggering array of more than 6000 exhibits, as well as state-of-the-art immersive experiences, which tell the story of the city's rich creative, sporting and cultural history.

DAY 2

Morning

Begin your second day by visiting the World Museum, located across the beautifully decorated St. John's Gardens and only 13-minute walk (0.6 mile) from the hotel. The museum reveals millions of years of Earth's history through thousands of exhibits and hands-on activities, where you can discover fascinating objects from around the world and the stories behind them.

Afternoon

After relaxing and having lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafés of the city centre, continue your journey with a short walk to Western Approaches Museum, also known as the Liverpool War Museum. This hidden gem was once the underground command center for the Navy, Air Force and Marines during World War II, offering fascinating and authentic military insight.
