Western Approaches, a secret bunker under Liverpool's city centre, was the nerve centre to coordinate the Battle of the Atlantic in World War II. The bunker is in the basement of an office building in Moorfields, Liverpool’s business quarter, but is just five minutes from Pier Head and the waterfront.
Glimpse the documents and tools the forces used to monitor enemy convoys and inform the British government of their findings. This museum is a step back in time where visitors are invited to immerse themselves in all the rooms. It also offers private guided tours ideal for groups.
