DAY 1

Check-in at The Nadler Liverpool from 1pm
(2 hours extra early, free as part of booking direct).

Afternoon

Head straight to the beating heart of Liverpool's musical scene, the Cavern Quarter, just a 10-minute (0.5 mile) walk from The Nadler Liverpool. At its centre is Matthew Street, which is lined with live music bars and venues, including the world-famous Cavern Club where a young John, Paul, George and Ringo played one of their very first live gigs in 1961. Take a stroll along this bustling street, see some of the iconic names from music's history on its 'wall of fame', and soak in its many sights and sounds.

Evening

There's a host of live music you see playing every night, but one of our favourites is the Liverpool Jazz Club at Everyman Bistro, just a 14-minute walk (0.6 miles) from our hotel, which is free and takes place on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Make sure you arrive early to get a good seat and you'll be treated to a great night of live jazz from the house band, often supported by special guests.

DAY 2

Morning

This morning we're heading to the world's largest permanent exhibition devoted to the Fab Four, The Beatles Story. Located on the Albert Docks, just a 15-minute walk (0.7 miles) from our hotel, you'll be treated to an immersive journey through the history of the legendary band, with a plethora of iconic original memorabilia, iconic images and life-size recreations of key locations from their illustrious career. (Entry is charged at £16.95 for adults / £10 for children).

The Beatles Story

On your stroll there or back, make sure you see the statues of some of the city's musical icons along the waterfront, including Billy Fury and The Beatles.

Afternoon

After some lunch on the pier, head to The British Music Experience further along the waterfront. Opened in 2017, it tells the story of British music through a vast display of costumes, instruments, performance and memorablia of some of Britain's most iconic musicians. Exhibits include outfits worn by Freddie Mercury, Dusty Springfield and The Spice Girls, instruments played by Noel Gallagher and the Sex Pistols, and original song lyrics by Adele. (Entry is charged at £14 entry for adults / £9 for children aged 5+).

Evening

For one last musical encore - spend an evening at the fabulous Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, located a short 12-minute (0.5 miles) from our hotel. Home to one of the world's oldest concert societies, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic (founded in 1840), it is a stunning Grade II listed art deco style building, which was recently refurbished in 2015. As well as hosting at least 60 orchestral concerts every year, the Hall has a diverse programme of classical, contemporary, rock, pop, folk and everything in between, with something to see every day. Check their website https://www.liverpoolphil.com/ to see what's playing during your stay.
