25th - 28th May 2018
Returning to Liverpool for its fifth edition, the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta, from 25th - 28th May 2018, will see a 17-strong fleet of spectacular Tall Ships from across the globe head to the River Mersey, as part of the city's 10th anniversary of its year as European Capital of Culture.
The Tall Ships will be berthed at various times throughout the festival weekend at Liverpool Cruise Terminal, Canning Dock, Canning Half Tide Dock and Albert Dock, where visitors will be invited to step on board for a closer look at the remarkable vessels.
The highlight of the event will be the magnificent Parade of Sail at 12 noon on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May, when the Tall Ships will make their way up and down the River Mersey, accompanied by a flotilla of other craft, before sailing for Liverpool Bay at the start of their race.
An exciting programme of events and activities is planned across Liverpool to celebrate the arrival of the ships, including the “Changing Tides” programme of international and local art works, installations, music, dance and theatrical performances. Wine-lovers will also be spoiled by the world-renowned Bordeaux Wine Festival, which is making its UK debut on the waterfront as part of the celebrations.
Albert Docks is a 14 minute walk (0.7 mile) from The Nadler Liverpool.
