Regent Street Christmas Lights

Regent Street, renowned for its many world-famous shops including Liberty, Hamleys and the flagship Topshop, Niketown, Burberry and Apple stores, was the first street in West London to begin the tradition of displaying electrical Christmas light decorations. Every year since 1954 Regent Street has held its annual 'switch-on' event, where crowds gather to see the lights switched on for the first time. Often hailed as 'the beginning of Christmas', the switch-on event is now a major (free to attend) event, with a host of entertainment provided by famous musicians and artists.

Regent Street Christmas entertainment and switch-on event will take place on Novemeber 16th 2017.

(Regent Street's decorations, which will stretch the full length of the street, will form one part of a wider display spanning from Oxford Circus to Waterloo Place, via Piccadilly and St James').
