There are a number of ice rinks which pop up around the capital over the winter months, but few are as enchanting as the ice rink at the Natural History Museum.

Situated beneath a row of trees dressed with fairy lights, and with a backdrop of the beautiful buildings of the Natural History Museum, built in the 1870s in a Romanesque style.

Skaters glide around a central Christmas tree, whilst spectators can enjoy Hotel Chocolat hot chocolates, or relax in the cafe bar and viewing balcony which overlooks the rink.

Situated in the stunning Edmond J. Safra Fountain courtyard of historic Somerset House, this ice rink promises to be a must-see destination for the festive season.

An extra special series of music nights will be held throughout the season, called Skate Lates, which are a great way to kick-start your weekend.

 The enchanting Christmas Ice Festival in Liverpool is returning bigger and better this year, including its own ice rink.

The covered outdoor ice rink is located in one of Liverpool’s most popular historic locations, the Pier Head, so visitors can skate away while taking in the sights.

The festival also includes rides, games, super-fun ice slides and pop-up food and drinks.
