Best Places To Spend Bonfire Night

Join in the celebrations for Guy Fawkes Night, otherwise known as Bonfire Night, with spectacular firework displays all over the city.

It's a British tradition dating back to the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when conspirator Guy Fawkes came very close to blowing up the Houses of Parliament and King James I.

The official Bonfire Night date for 2018 is the 5th of November, however celebrations are held across different days.

Below are some of our favourite spots where you can take part in this long-established tradition.

Alexandra Palace

2nd & 3rd Nov - Catch a glimpse of the London skyline from one of the most beloved spots in North London. Famous for hosting a number of music events and festivals during the year, 'Ally Pally' becomes the ideal view point to see some firework's magic on Bonfire Night. The celebrations include an actual bonfire, circus acrobatics, ice skating, music, food & drinks and a laser show.

The River Of Light Fireworks

4th Nov - Even though it is only going into its third year, Bonfire Night in Liverpool wouldn’t be the same night now without the River of Light.

Once again in 2018 both sides of the River Mersey will be lit up by fireworks on Sunday 4th November with a specially commissioned musical display in Liverpool and Wirral.

Entrance to the event is free and the display will be once again held by Titanium Fireworks, who wowed crowds last year with a jaw dropping display.
